Prospective Members
Anyone wishing to join the East Limestone Volunteer Fire Department should be an able-bodied person 18 years of age or older living within the East Limestone Fire District, and shall submit an application to the department.
Once an application has been submitted to the department, the applicant is put in to a prospective member status for 90 days. While a prospective member, we require the person to attend all regularly scheduled business meetings, trainings, and fundraisers. During this time, if an absence from one of these events is required, the prospective member should inform a board member, so the absence may be excused.
After the 90 day period is over, the following business meeting will have a vote among the present active members to accept the prospective member in to the active membership. If the vote passes, the prospective will become the newest member of the East Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.
